Job Description

The Audio Visual Supervisor supports the AV Manager in the day-to-day operations of all audio, visual, and multimedia services at the resort. This role supervises the AV team, ensures smooth technical delivery for meetings, events, entertainment, and lifestyle experiences, and maintains equipment in line with SO/ brand standards. The AV Supervisor combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership skills to create bold, stylish, and seamless experiences for guests and event partners.

Key Responsibilities

Event Operations

  • Supervise and assist in the setup, operation, and dismantling of AV equipment for conferences, weddings, entertainment shows, and special events.
  • Provide on-site technical support to clients, performers, and internal stakeholders during events.
  • Ensure that all AV elements are executed on time and in line with event requirements and brand standards.

Team Supervision

  • Lead, schedule, and train AV Technicians to deliver professional service.
  • Allocate tasks and oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Support the AV Manager in coaching and developing the team’s technical skills.

Equipment & Maintenance

  • Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance of AV systems, lighting, and stage equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Monitor inventory, storage, and proper use of AV resources.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all safety regulations in the installation and use of AV and staging equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and SO/ safety standards.
  • Report and document any incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs.

Administration & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, repairs, and event checklists.
  • Assist the AV Manager with budgeting, procurement, and vendor coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Events, Entertainment, and Recreation teams to deliver innovative and impactful guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Audio Visual Technology, Event Production, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in AV operations, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or large-scale event venue.
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of audio systems, video projection, lighting, and stage equipment.
  • Proven supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; fluent English required (additional languages an asset).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
