Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Outlet Manager to join the team at Sofitel Brisbane Central. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the Cuvee Lounge Bar, a sophisticated venue known for its refined atmosphere and exceptional service.

As the Assistant Outlet Manager, you will ensure the seamless day-to-day operations of the lounge, creating memorable guest experiences while upholding high standards of service and quality. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Brisbane's most respected establishments.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of Cuvee Lounge Bar
  • Collaborate with the Outlets Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality and efficiency
  • Supervise and support ambassadors, ensuring adherence to service standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to strategise on new product and service offerings
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Familiarise yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met 
  • Conduct regular staff training sessions to enhance skills and product knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Assist in organising and executing special events and promotions
  • Maintain excellent relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Qualifications

You’ll excel in this role if you have:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, high-end restaurant environment
  • Availability to work weekends, public holidays and late night shifts to close the bar
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine and beverage service
  • Completion of Barista training and Wine & Spirit (WSET) training is preferable
  • Proven experience with point of sale systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control principles
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous while focusing on guest needs
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food service industry
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
