We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager for our thriving Restaurant & Bar located in the vibrant city of Mysuru, India. As an integral part of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high-quality customer service, and driving business growth.
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant and bar operations
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
- Ensure exceptional customer service and address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs to maximize profitability
- Create and adjust staff schedules to meet business demands efficiently
- Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to increase revenue
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, preparing reports for upper management
- Collaborate with the chef to create and update menus, incorporating local cuisine and trends
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff members
- Handle cash management and daily financial reconciliations
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in restaurant or bar management, preferably in a high-volume establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
- Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, including cost control and inventory management
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and profit maximization
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Familiarity with local cuisine, cultural preferences, and food trends in Mysuru
- Knowledge of health, safety, and alcohol service regulations in the food service industry
- Food Safety Certification required; Alcohol Service Certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Fluency in English and knowledge of local languages (Kannada preferred)
