Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Assistant Manager Reservation to join our dynamic hospitality team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing our reservations operations while supporting our team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You'll work collaboratively across departments, optimize our revenue performance, and ensure seamless booking operations that drive our business forward.

  • Oversee daily reservations operations and ensure accurate handling of bookings, amendments, and cancellations across all platforms
  • Monitor room availability, rates, and inventory in real-time across all distribution channels
  • Apply rate codes, packages, and promotions correctly while maintaining pricing strategy compliance
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Sales, Revenue Management, and Housekeeping teams to ensure operational efficiency
  • Handle complex reservations, VIP bookings, and group allocations with professionalism and attention to detail
  • Assist in training, coaching, and motivating reservation staff to maintain high performance standards
  • Monitor staff adherence to standard operating procedures and prepare duty rosters to support manpower planning
  • Act as department-in-charge in the absence of the Reservations Manager
  • Support revenue optimization initiatives by upselling rooms and services to guests
  • Track pick-up reports, forecasts, and booking trends to inform strategic decisions
  • Analyze reservation data and prepare comprehensive reports for management review
  • Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles and ensure data integrity within reservation systems
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports with analytical insights
  • Ensure compliance with audit, payment, and cancellation policies
  • Maintain departmental records, logs, and documentation in an organized manner

Qualifications

**Required Skills & Competencies:**

  • Proficiency with reservation management systems and hotel property management software
  • Strong knowledge of distribution channels, rate management, and yield management principles
  • Excellent data entry skills with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to analyze reservation data and prepare meaningful reports
  • Outstanding guest communication and complaint resolution skills
  • Demonstrated multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a collaborative approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)

**Required Experience:**

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel reservations operations
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity within hospitality
  • Demonstrated experience managing reservation teams or staff
  • Background in guest service delivery within the hospitality industry

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Hospitality management certification or diploma
  • Experience with revenue management and pricing strategies
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and front office procedures
  • Familiarity with multiple reservation platforms and global distribution systems
  • Experience in a luxury or upscale hotel environment
