Job Description

As a Staff Housing Attendant, you play a key role in shaping that experience, creating a safe, welcoming, and well-cared-for environment that truly feels like a home-away-from-home. You bring care, pride, and attention to detail to every space, ensuring our colleagues feel supported, comfortable, and connected from the moment they arrive.

Start Date: May/June 2026
Contract Type: Permanent
Rate of Pay: $18.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities 

Creating a Place to Belong

  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all staff housing areas across both on-site and off-site locations
  • Support new team members during move-in, including room assignments, roommate communication, and reviewing housing agreements and expectations
  • Provide warm, welcoming tours of staff accommodation spaces
  • Offer ongoing support to residents, responding to requests with care, urgency, and professionalism

Care & Maintenance

  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as patching walls, painting, replacing light bulbs, cutting keys, and basic repairs
  • Support deep cleaning of rooms and shared spaces, including appliances, furnishings, windows, and floors
  • Manage waste and recycling, ensuring spaces remain clean, organized, and aligned with sustainability efforts
  • Assist with outdoor upkeep at off-site locations, including seasonal tasks such as lawn care and snow removal

Safety & Community

  • Respond to housing-related concerns and support emergency situations as required
  • Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and safe living environment for all residents
  • Actively participate in the Hotel’s sustainability and green initiatives

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Previous experience in maintenance or cleaning is an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • A kind, patient, and helpful approach with a strong sense of care for others
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand and bend throughout the day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 kg (22lbs) regularly and up to 23 kg (50lbs)

  • Experience in staff housing, facilities, or property care
  • A passion for sustainability and responsible living practices
  • A natural ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse team
