Job Description

What you will be doing: 

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Front Office and Housekeeping ensuring that guests and owners expectations are exceeded whilst maximising profitability. 
  • Assume leadership and be in charge of operations, ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of operating systems, policies & procedures, reviewing and improving these regularly.
  • Develop strategies to ensure relevant departments are kept informed of occupancy and requirements of specific groups.
  • Respond to guest complaints and provide relevant action and follow up.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and selection of all Front Office team.
  • Conduct performance appraisals on a regular basis in a positive constructive way in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure. Shift work and out of hours contact may be required.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills should include:

  • Senior Front Office Management combined with excellent knowledge and understanding of Housekeeping, Revenue and Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of Revenue and Reservations Management and computer literacy – Opera on Premise and Opera Cloud experience an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, develop and inspire teams.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexible approach in adapting to guest requests & sound interpersonal and communication skills.

We are hiring a Rooms Division Manager to take the rein of the front office department and ensure collegial interdepartmental communication are in place. This position will be heavily involved in the operation of the hotel across all areas, therefore, the successful applicant will have a strong focus on Housekeeping vendor management, Front Office, Staff and Stakeholder communication, and the execution of strategies to ensure continual improvement, efficiencies and strong financial returns.
