Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary IT Manager to join our organization in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will lead our information technology operations, drive digital innovation, and ensure seamless technology infrastructure that supports our business objectives. As an IT Manager, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise to manage systems, teams, and resources while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative problem-solving.

  • Oversee and manage the hotel’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, PMS, POS systems, and guest-facing technologies, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a service-oriented culture that supports both hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and implement IT strategies and technology roadmaps aligned with the hotel’s operational goals and evolving hospitality technology trends.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective solutions and high service standards.
  • Continuously evaluate hotel systems and processes to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and enhanced guest services (e.g., Wi-Fi, smart room tech, digital check-in).
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, data protection regulations, and hospitality industry best practices to safeguard guest and business data.
  • Provide strategic guidance on the adoption and customization of hotel technologies to improve operational efficiency and elevate guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Finance) to understand operational needs and deliver tailored IT solutions.
  • Oversee IT projects such as system upgrades, new hotel openings, or technology rollouts, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
  • Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues promptly, and maintain detailed documentation of IT systems and procedures.
  • Stay current with hospitality technology trends and innovations to keep the hotel competitive in guest experience and operational excellence.
  • Support change management initiatives, including staff training and system adoption, to ensure smooth integration of new technologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in IT management or a similar leadership role within a corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications and other relevant IT software and tools
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration, network management, and IT service delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in IT budget management, financial planning, and vendor management
  • Proven project management experience with successful delivery of technology initiatives
  • Solid understanding of IT security, data protection, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build collaborative relationships across all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience in team development, performance management, and staff onboarding
  • Highly organized with exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple initiatives effectively
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive when managing high-pressure situations and technical challenges
  • Proficiency in strategic planning and the ability to develop and communicate IT vision and roadmaps
  • Experience with IT governance, best practices frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Preferred: Relevant IT certifications (such as PMP, ITIL, or vendor-specific certifications)
  • Preferred: Experience in a multicultural environment or familiarity with UAE business practices
