Job Description

  • Assist the IT Manager to manage the implementation and maintenance of information systems, data processing systems and procedures for ibis Bengaluru Hebbal to include databases, network administration, applications programming, web design and user support systems.
  • Coordinate with external clients to meet Information System objectives.
  • Assist the IT Manager to analyze user needs and establish policies and procedures for the information systems.
  • Any matter which may affect the interests of ibis Bengaluru Hebbal should be brought to the attention of the Management.
  • Assist the IT Manager to plan, direct and control all day-to-day information systems functions.
  • Ensure to assist the IT Manager to plan and approve equipment and software purchases related to systems (operating systems, related software, storage devices, etc.).
  • Analyze user needs & establish trends.
  • Ensure that all personnel are kept well informed of department’s objectives and policies.
  • Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all the departments.
  • Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.
  • Conduct periodic and annual inventory audits of the equipment & recommend replacement of equipment if required, to the IT Manager.
  • Ensure that all software licensing laws are adhered to.
  • Ensure the smooth running of all systems, including anti-virus software, printer and e-mail facilities.
  • To install computer systems, ensure that back up systems operate effectively, enable technology support for all departments and contribute to organizational policy with regard to quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of the hotel to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
  • To assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding service and equipment and hence take corrective action.
  • Coordinate operations with Department Coordinators, Supervisors and other Departmental Managers to ensure operational readiness, efficiency in resource utilization and the prompt delivery of services.
  • Ensure to manage the personnel involved in database management, network administration and user support services and also concerned in meeting administrative and operational needs.
  • Liaise with professional organizations and equipment manufacturers to ensure utilization of current principles and techniques.

 


Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel IT operations, with exposure to supervisory level responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel systems, including PMS (Opera preferred), POS systems, networking, and end-user support.
  • Experience with network infrastructure, servers, Wi-Fi solutions, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
