Job Description

Due to an internal promotion we are on the look out for our next Food and Beverage Team Leader! We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food and Beverage Team Leader to oversee our dedicated team and ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading and supervise the food and beverage team to deliver efficient, friendly, and professional service.
  • Ensure all food and beverage services adhere to established standards and procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with VIP and regular guests to anticipate and fulfil their needs.
  • Coordinate with the Chef and kitchen brigade to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Manage shift revenue, completing cash/charge summaries to balance daily activities.
  • Implement systems to protect and maintain control of service equipment, accurately recording breakages and conducting regular stock takes.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all Food & Beverage areas.
  • Ensure room service trays and trolleys are set up correctly and collected promptly.
  • Train and develop staff to ensure competence in service procedures and the ability to maximise sales.
  • Ensure accurate guest billing following hotel procedures, posting correct charges.

This is a Part Time position with a minimum of 32 hours per week, waged at $27.32 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage service, previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • A team player with a passion for customer service.
  • Capability to work well under pressure, great communication and problem solving skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Ensure smooth communication with the kitchen
  • First aid certificate would be viewed as favourable
  • A current GM Certificate or able to obtain (to obtain candidates must have an LCQ certificate & 3 months supervisory experience at a licensed premises in NZ) would be viewed as favourable
  • Ability to work early morning (from 6am) and late evening shifts also flexible to work weekends and public holidays.
  • You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
