Located on Level 12 of the Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery, Altus Rooftop Lounge & Bar offers an elegant, polished and welcoming experience. Inspired by the great cocktail and champagne bars of the world, yet distinctly local in its menus, and undeniably chic in its interiors; Altus is an experience like no other.

The successful candidate will join our dedicated team who all thrive in a 5 star environment and enjoy the benefits that come with working for a unique luxury venue. Experience working in a upscale bar and extensive knowledge of cocktail making is a distinct advantage.

This is a permanent part time position requiring availability to work across a 7-day roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays. 

The Role 

• You are an experienced bartender with a deep understanding and rich appreciation of the ingredients and techniques used in cocktail making, and can creates new and innovative mixed drinks 
• You are creative and have the capacity to create new and innovative mixed drinks or put your signature twist on existing favourites
• You stay abreast of cocktail trends and innovations occurring worldwide
• You will be a person who lives and breathes the hospitality industry and is well versed in the bar, can create genuine and authentic connections with our guests and generally be an all-round team player
• Be immaculately presented, attentive and proactive with the ability to respond quickly to needs of our guests

Hourly Pay rates:

• Mon to Fri: $26.70 ($29.51 from 7pm)
• Saturday: $33.38 
• Sunday: $40.05 
• Public Holidays: $60.08

What we're looking for:

• Experience as a Cocktail Bartender in a vibrant, high end, upscale venue.
• Knowledge of cocktails, cocktail making and beverage production, spirits, wine and beer and know what is on-trend. 
• Creative flair.
• Experience in exceeding guest expectations and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
• Adaptable and able to multi-task.
• Time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude.
• Able and willing to work a rotating 7-day roster, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Must have RSA certificate.
