    Job Description

    Be accountable on a daily basis for the operations of the bar through effective people management and imaginative story-telling. This role is ‘hands on’, working as part of a team to provide tailor made 5 star service.  Within this role you will:

    • Be in charge of mastering the classic cocktails with a luxurious twist, unleash your creativity designing menus and indulge our guests with your delicious creations.
    • Serve beverage items with flair and professionalism, ensuring a high quality service, while familiarizing yourself with our guests and showcasing your expertise and passion.
    • Be responsible for the strategic management of Le Salon Rouge bar, including development and execution of a full strategic plan, covering revenue performance, sales & marketing activities and calendar of functions and events for the year.
    • Assist the Operations Manager with the effective orientation and training for new team members and ensuring professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented
    • Work cohesively with Executive Chef and Kitchen team to drive creative and engaging food and beverage stories and menus, aligned with the strategic plan.
    • Assist with the design and curation of the beverage menus, utilising extensive knowledge and trends on wines, spirits and the regional produce available.
    • Build, develop and drive Food & Beverage Operational team members to assist in achieving the F&B Strategic Plan, and ensure the team are highly engaged. This includes responsible and sustainable recruitment, training and development plans for all team members, open and honest feedback to team members, and engagement strategies.
    • Assist with completion of monthly outlets financial reports and stocktakes.

    Qualifications

    Work Experience

    • Two years’ experience in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel environment is desirable.
    • Previous experience as a People Manager is essential
    • Formal certification in wine knowledge (WSET Level 2 or equivalent) and LCQ is preferred.
    • Immaculate grooming and personal presentation
    • Articulate communication skills and an understanding of luxury guest expectations
    • Passion for high end hospitality with an eye for detail
