Job Description

Reporting to the Conference & Events Operations Manager, the key responsibilities of the Banquets Supervisor include:

  • Being "Guest obsessed" while providing support and presence on the front of house areas to ensure the smooth operation of the Department & quality service is provided
  • Providing leadership and guidance to your F&B colleagues, ensuring our F&B service standards are observed providing a consistently high level of service to all guests
  • Set up and pack down of events/conference rooms and coordination on the day
  • Familiarizing yourself with VIP and regular clients to ensure their requests and needs are met
  • Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service and promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards and promoting general OHS practices
  • A ‘hands on’ approach is required as is to work as part of a team to provide efficient service

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Food & Beverage role within the Conference & Events area desired
  • Passionate about Food & Beverage and event service
  • Experience in training and motivating employees
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and a high standard of personal presentation and self-awareness
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, nights and public holidays
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Being a true hospitality professional dedicated to providing customer service excellence
