Job Description

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager – Sales (Celebrations) will be responsible for driving revenue through weddings, social events, milestone celebrations, and bespoke luxury experiences across Fairmont Mumbai and Roswyn, A Morgans Originals Hotel. The role requires a highly motivated sales professional who can curate memorable celebrations, build strong client relationships, and deliver personalized experiences that reflect the distinctive luxury and lifestyle positioning of both brands.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales for weddings, engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, private parties, and other social celebrations.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the luxury and lifestyle events segment.
  • Conduct client meetings, site inspections, presentations, and networking activities to generate leads and conversions.
  • Build relationships with wedding planners, event agencies, luxury brands, corporates, influencers, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets for celebrations and social events.

Client Experience & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary contact for celebration clients from inquiry to event completion.
  • Understand client preferences and curate customized event solutions aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and quotations while ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Deliver exceptional service standards to create memorable guest experiences and encourage repeat business.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Work closely with Banquets, Culinary, Rooms Division, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Conduct detailed event briefings and pre-event meetings with operational teams.
  • Ensure all guest requirements and special requests are communicated and executed flawlessly.
  • Monitor event delivery and proactively resolve any concerns.

Revenue Optimization

  • Maximize revenue through strategic upselling of accommodation, dining experiences, spa services, décor enhancements, and other hotel offerings.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging celebration concepts within the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management activities.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, contracts, and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Generate regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in luxury hotel sales, wedding sales, social events, or banquet sales.
  • Strong understanding of the luxury and lifestyle hospitality market.
  • Experience working with high-profile clients and premium events is preferred.
