And you provide that experience with a team of twenty colleagues, four shiftleaders and the (assistant) Front Office Manager in our beautiful 4-star hotel located in Amsterdam overlooking the river IJ. With a beautiful atmosphere in our team, we help each other during busy moments so everything runs smoothly. You will work in a hotel that works together with the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, a total combined conference space of over 1900 m2, including 11 modern and spacious conference and directors’ rooms. Through the emergence of ijVENUES, Amsterdam’s new exhibition centre, everything only becomes bigger and better. On a lovely, sunny day, you can choose between a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute cycle ride from the central station. Or you can hop on the tram from the other side of our hotel. In short: we have it all.


Job Description

From approaching potential customers to maintaining existing relationships. As a sales trainee, you too will have the freedom to make your own mark and have full ownership of the right contacts. We not only give you the tools and training you need, but also the space to simply do what you need. This is how you shine in your role. At Mövenpick we make moments, do you?

Be limitless
Developing corporate, agency MICE and leisure accounts in the Netherlands. That is what you and your colleagues do. You support the account manager, sales managers and employees in their work and actively market our hotel. You do this by visiting (potential) accounts and distributing information about our facilities and packages together with your colleagues. You also determine pricing details and write the necessary cost estimates and quotations. Everything to give the customer the best possible image of Mövenpick and to ensure more bookings by customers. There are no limits to your abilities. In addition, you will be:

  • available MBO or HBO student for a minimum of 20 weeks, 5 days a week;
  • helping the account and sales managers (round) annual contracts;
  • busy with administration. You will keep track of your sales activities and those of your colleagues in the CRM system;
  • responsible for giving guided tours to customers;
  • preparing sales and after-sales activities;
  • preparation of customer events;
  • preparation and execution of promotional activities and products;
  • preparation of international trade fairs;
  • production of account management information;
  • research and telephone acquisition.

In this position, you will work Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00.

You like working within a team and taking ownership, with persuasiveness you know how to drag others along in your enthusiasm. You are not afraid to engage, dare to take responsibility and have a natural talent for networking. Market research and analytical thinking? That's great, because we like people who not only see opportunities, but also know how to seize them. You must have: 

  • excellent communication skills;
  • a proactive attitude and interest in Sales;
  • fluent written and spoken knowledge of the English language, and preferably the Dutch language as well.
