The position is based in Accor's flagship Canberra hotel, Novotel Canberra, conveniently based in the city centre opposite the light rail. We are a 286-room hotel with 8 conferencing and event facilities hosting all events from Corporate groups to sports teams.


Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Revenue Manager to join our team at Novotel Canberra. As a Revenue Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimising our organisation's revenue streams through data-driven strategies and market analysis. The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and implement revenue optimisation strategies to maximise profitability
  • Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns to inform pricing decisions
  • Create and maintain revenue forecasts and budgets
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align revenue strategies
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue metrics
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and recommend actionable insights
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of revenue management strategies
  • Utilise revenue management systems to optimise pricing and inventory
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate the success of revenue strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in revenue management

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in revenue management, preferably in a large hotel or similar environment
  • Previous experience working in a front office and/or reservations would be highly regarded
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data analytics, or a related field
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to recommend budgeting strategies for revenue maximisation 
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with Opera, TARS, EZ RMS & Accor systems (preferred) 
  • Knowledge of GDS, revenue management systems & distribution systems
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can present findings to various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and budgeting
  • Knowledge of market trends and competitive analysis techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
