We're looking for an experienced Restaurant General Manager to join The Balfour. The Restaurant GM will lead all aspects of the restaurant's operation, specifically maintaining a profitable operation, high-quality products and service levels, and an engaged team. You'll market ideas to promote business, reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue, payroll, and expense budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping consistently high quality and standards across the board.
What you'll do...
- Oversee and direct the seamless running of day-to-day operations.
- Ensure all systems and procedures are effective, efficient and in place for a smooth operation
- Support the delivery of outstanding customer service while ensuring that all financial and statutory requirements are met.
- You'll hire, train, coach and sometimes discipline all team members of your department.
- Manage and control department expenditures, staying within agreed budgets and being responsible of P/L for operation.
- Ensurs maintenance and cleanliness of space with focus on departmental SNHD food standards, OSHA, Fire & Life Safety Regulations.
- Posts all bids, memos and schedules in a timely manner.
- Consult with other Heads of Departments on a weekly basis to support the overall success of the F&B department and the hotel.
- Participate in long range planning. Lead, support and make recommendations for ongoing hotel programs with continuous improvement in networking.
- Ensure preparation of required reports, including (but not limited to) Wage Progress, payroll, revenue, employee Schedules, quarterly actions plans
What we're looking for...
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Passionate and knowledgeable about the food and beverage industry with strong connections and network in the Miami area.
- Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English preferred.
- You have a passion for hospitality, you inspire an enthusiastic guest-centered approach.
- You can turn any situation around into a positive experience for all, guests and team alike.
- You think big and encourage your team to believe.
- You are comfortable with the strategic as well as day to day detail.
