Reports to: Director of People & Culture

General Purpose:

Under the general guidance of the People & Culture Director, The People & Culture Generalist is a key driver of 21c teammate’s experience—from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, compliance, and performance. You will collaborate closely with leadership to ensure our culture and brand pillars are reflected, while supporting a high-performing, people-first environment.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Lead and support the talent acquisition process, including recruitment efforts with hiring managers, including coordinating/attending internal and external job fairs, and community outreach.
  • Manages and updates job descriptions and job postings, in conjunction with overall goals of the People & Culture team according to Brand standards.
  • Oversee onboarding process from pre onboarding to day one to ensure new hires are prepared, and feel welcomed from day one.
  • Support the execution of orientation programs and training initiatives
  • Develops and delivers initiatives relating to People & Culture training that coincides with the brand values, messaging, overall mission and Brand messaging to create the best overall experience for all new and existing teammates.
  • With supervision from the Director of People & Culture, leads and measures all engagement experience activities, including recruiting, onboarding and retention.
  • Assist with general guidance to property teams with activities, committees including internal experiences for our new teammates (holiday parties, annual rally, etc.).
  • Completes all teammate birthday gift certificates on a monthly basis and distributes. In conjunction with the department manager, creates fun and excitement around the recognition of successes of the team.
  • Promote stay-at-work initiatives currently in place (referral bonus, penguin perks, DailyPay, etc.) and suggest new programs designed with the purpose of educating new teammates and retaining them.
  • Stays current with best practice HR policies and methods and labor laws at all levels. 
  • Supports and assists in various audit items
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support HRIS systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of SOPs, and best practices.
  • Participates in P&C department calls and meetings.
  • Supports and assists in various P&C projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Previous People & Culture experience administration experience is required.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Bilingual (in English and Spanish) preferred
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking ability.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential; excellent multi-tasking ability is required.
  • Must be able to work independently, with little supervision, under pressure and on short deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills are required.
  • Critical Thinking and Analysis 

General knowledge of administrative applications and strong computer skills

Education/Formal Training:

  • College or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Computer literate
  • Prior Human Resources or Temporary Staffing experience is preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Some travel between properties and networking events may be necessary.
  • Infrequent, long-range travel to conferences, etc. may be required.

 Physical Requirements

  • Light physical work
  • Primarily seated job in office environment, utilizing general office equipment
