We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated person to join our team as a Multi-Hotel Payroll Officer. Based out of Mercure Sydney, located in the heart of Sydney city and a 2-minute walk from Central train station.

 


Job Description

THE ROLE:

This position is responsible for providing an accurate and efficient payroll service to the hotel and all team members across the business, and participating in payroll related projects as required. You will:

  • Assist team members with payroll requests and handle all complaints promptly and efficiently
  • Manage the Ready Workforce (Zambion) payroll systems.
  • Ensure Integrity of data within Ready Workforce
  • Process wages based on approved hourly rates or salaries including allowances, leave types and deductions using imported time & attendance data interfaced from clock in Kiosk.
  • Process final payments and calculate termination payments
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained as set out in the National Employment Standards for wages e.g. pay slips
  • Generate reports after each payroll and distribute to department managers
  • Submit wage easy audit reports to the Assistant Financial Controller/Financial Controller
  • Complete end of financial year payroll processes
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the Hotels Enterprise Agreement and The Hospitality Industry & General Modern Award
  • Maintain current knowledge of Fair Work Australia National Employment Standards

 


Qualifications

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a leader who is solutions oriented and able to successfully balance the needs of our guests and team, while managing the financial and compliance responsibilities of all four of the properties

  • Previous experience in high volume payroll 
  • Familiarity with payroll software and systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office preferred or desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Be able to effectively multitask and meet deadlines
  • Maintaining sensitive information and data control with integrity and discretion
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
