Job Description

Join Our Housekeeping Team as a Houseperson!

Are you energetic and ready to keep things moving? As a Houseperson, you play a vital role in supporting our Housekeeping Team. You'll be the go-to person, assisting room and public area attendants with various tasks. Your day will include delivering requested items to guests' rooms, ensuring room attendants are stocked with linens, towels, and amenities, and collecting used linens for laundering. Apart from the usual houseman duties, you will be required to clean guest rooms to the professional standard. Your adaptability and eagerness to help are crucial to creating a seamless and pleasant experience for our guests. We are seeking candidates who have availability to work across a range of shifts on a rotating 7 day roster including weekends & public holidays.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Housekeeping team with general tasks including the handling and delivery of amenities, towels, and linen
  • Collaborate with all members of the housekeeping team to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Manage and provide efficient distribution of linen throughout the property
  • Assist with cleaning guest rooms and public area spaces as requested
  • Conduct inventory management and stock-taking to ensure adequate supplies are available
  • Assist in other tasks as when request by manager

Qualifications

The successful applicant will ideally possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • With a keen eye for detail, you'll work efficiently, manage your time effectively, and take pride in your tasks
  • Skilled at handling multiple tasks simultaneously and collaborating effectively with team members
  • You thrive in a physically active role, navigating the property by using internal and external staircases, open pathways, and maneuvering heavy trolleys and equipment
  • A friendly and outgoing nature with great customer service
