We seek an inspiring and innovative General Manager to drive operational excellence, maximize profitability, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role offers the unique opportunity to strategically enhance hotel performance and guest experience, particularly as we look towards exciting future developments and potential significant upgrades to our facilities.
You will oversee all operations, developing and implementing strategies to meet financial and operational targets, and fostering talent within a diverse, multi-generational team. With strong coaching skills, you'll enhance employee engagement and guest satisfaction. You will represent the hotel professionally to owners and Accor, ensuring brand consistency. Reporting to both owners and Accor, this role demands excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, financial, and analytical skills. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the business
- Lead the overall management and strategic direction of the property and support all departments in the achievement of operational targets
- Maximize the property in terms of profit and management of financials
- Ensure full compliance with operating controls and legislation in all areas of the business
- Building your team
- Actively involved in the recruitment process of positions within the property to select the best fit
- Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment where all employees are encouraged to provide input
- Develop relationships within the local community
- Driving service culture
- Maintain product and service quality standards to exceed guest expectations
- Promote the brand and ensure all brand essentials and standards are in place and executed consistently.
Your experience and skills include:
- Proven leadership experience in a similar hotel brand or business.
- Proven experience in leading a dynamic team with an informal working culture and where roles were multi-skilled
- Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management or equivalent
- Fluent in French and English on a business level, mastering the Flemish language is preferred
- Good understanding and know-how of the current hospitality market of Brussels
- Good analytical skills, you know how to set-up, measure and steer the right KPIs
- Experience with owners and managers relationships and multi-stakeholder management
- Must be strategic, creative and able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver on overall goals, backed up by data and analysis
- Excellent networking, speaking and presentation skills
- Bottom-line oriented with emphasis on high quality guest-service and coaching leadership skills
