Bistro Suzette, a delightful French-inspired bistro located in the heart of Brisbane, is seeking a professional and customer-focused Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and lead our front-of-house team to success.
- Supervise and coordinate all front-of-house operations, including dining room and lounge bar.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of food and beverage service
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and responsible alcohol service practices
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain menu knowledge and communicate specials to staff and guests
- Assist in organising and executing special events and promotions
- Stay informed about Brisbane's dining trends and local food regulations
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food and beverage service, with proven supervisory experience in a luxury hotel
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Current Food Safety Certification and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic financial reporting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of French cuisine and wine (preferred)
- Familiarity with Brisbane's dining scene and local food regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
