Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. In this role, you will oversee all financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance with Vietnamese accounting standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth. As a Vietnamese local, you will bring valuable knowledge of local tax regulations, business practices, and cultural understanding to drive financial excellence within our organization.

  • Manage and oversee all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support organizational objectives
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and performance metrics in accordance with Vietnamese accounting standards and regulations
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop departmental budgets and monitor spending against approved allocations
  • Ensure accurate recording of transactions in the general ledger and maintain organized financial records
  • Prepare tax documentation and work with external auditors to ensure full compliance with Vietnamese tax requirements
  • Manage accounting software and ERP systems to streamline financial processes and improve reporting efficiency
  • Provide financial guidance and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making
  • Train and mentor finance team members on accounting procedures, systems, and best practices

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in finance management or accounting roles
  • Strong knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards, tax regulations, and local compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional communication skills in Vietnamese and English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Preferred: Experience in hospitality, tourism, or related industries
  • Preferred: Experience managing multi-currency transactions and international financial operations
  • Preferred: Demonstrated leadership experience with team management capabilities
