Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Finance Co-ordinator to join our team in Randburg, South Africa. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.

  • Coordinate and oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
  • Monitor and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of audit materials and liaise with external auditors
  • Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and ensure compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
