Accor is looking for a new Engineering Director, reporting to the VP of Design & Technical Services PME Global, to lead the EPMS (Engineering Property Management Services) international offering. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the deployment of maintenance and energy services across the hotel network.
These services will be directed at hotel owners and general managers, in collaboration with internal departments (Development, Legal, Operations, Marketing, etc.), and delivered through external consultants and Corporate/Regional specialists.
Additionally, the Director will be responsible for ensuring that the 6 D&TS Regions, Accor internal departments, and third parties operate the EPMS in compliance with all regulations and with integrity.
Furthermore, the Director will align EPMS with the Group's decarbonization strategy and the company's growth objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Offer Management: steer the EPMS department
- Activity Management: Oversee the EPMS activities from deployment to expansion. Make sound decisions quickly under pressure and take calculated risks based on deep analysis.
- Change Management: Lead the transition from asset-based to asset-light D&TS activities.
- Organizational Awareness: Maintain awareness of organizational structure and goals, promote ideas or directions, and establish connections both within and outside the organization to leverage this network for the company’s benefit.
- Operational Optimization: Regularly advocate for, explore, and evaluate new operating philosophies and procedures that reduce company risk and liability.
- Strategic Orientation: Select the most appropriate tactics from a range of alternatives and communicate them to top management. Align organizational strategy with the company’s vision.
- Financial Management: Enhance financial oversight through KPIs and P&L steering, optimizing the productivity and profitability of the EPMS model. Manage the EPMS budget.
- Activity Reporting: Report key activity KPIs to top management, including budget and profitability, number of hotels supported, order book status, and contributions to the group’s decarbonization goals. Provide updates on results, actions, and potential risks.
Leadership: manage the resources and stakeholders
- International network Management: Set clear and appropriate objectives for international stakeholders. Manage and guide the 6 regions, third parties, and internal departments to ensure successful EPMS deployment, high-quality delivery, and achievement of financial objectives.
- Motivation and Influence: Foster a climate of teamwork by encouraging harmony, cooperation, and communication. Guide departments toward a shared vision and clear goals. Show care for others by monitoring their well-being, inspire a positive work attitude among subordinates, and persuade others to adjust their perspectives when necessary.
- People Development: Recruit, onboard and train new team members. Ensure personal development and the retention of resources.
Marketing and sales: promote the offer, identify and convert new customers
- Owner Value Proposition: Identify and assess the needs of hotel owners and general managers. Develop the Owner Value Proposition (OVP) to address client needs and effectively market the offer.
- Internal Promotion: Promote the offer within the Accor organization and ensure its visibility across internal stakeholders.
- Commercial Awareness: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the competitive landscape. Recognize new business opportunities and target potential hotel clients for EPMS. Participate in social and professional events. Lead the sales efforts and coordinate resources (EPMS team or other internal departments).
Engineering services: build and deliver the services
- Maintenance: Develop maintenance standards and guidelines for Accor PM&E segments.
- Innovation and R&D: Lead ongoing research, investigation, and testing of new products for potential use in hotels, particularly in Guestroom Technology. Seek opportunities to engage with professional and related engineering associations to stay informed about new technologies and engineering developments.
- Partnerships: Collaborate with the purchasing department to identify and establish partnerships with third-party specialists (in maintenance and energy services). Review and assess the quality of third-party reports and deliveries. Drive the performance of third-party service providers.
- Catalog of services: Continuously develop and update the EPMS catalog to meet the engineering needs of hotel owners and general managers (focused on maintenance and energy).
- Service Delivery: Assist hotels in fully implementing EPMS, including maintenance and utility management. Ensure the execution of energy, water, waste, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction programs in line with Accor’s sustainability goals. Respond to emergency situations by supporting clients and ensuring their satisfaction. Support hotels in structuring energy-saving OPEX and CAPEX plans. Ensure hotels adopt new technologies and equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
