Job Description

Housekeeping Attendant – 32 Hours per Week

You are at the heart of the hotel.
As a Housekeeping Attendant at ibis Birmingham Bordesley Circus, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across guest rooms and public areas. Your work will play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable, welcoming and memorable stay.

What you will be doing

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms and public areas in line with brand standards
  • Replenish linen, amenities and housekeeping supplies
  • Respond to guest requests in a prompt, polite and professional manner
  • Take responsibility for guest privacy and belongings at all times
  • Report maintenance issues, damages or lost property to supervisors
  • Assist with laundry duties, including washing, folding and linen distribution

Qualifications and skills

  • High attention to detail with pride in delivering excellent cleanliness standards
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to stand, move, bend and lift throughout shifts
  • Two years’ previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:
Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset
Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
Excellent organizational skills and time management
