Job Description

Position Summary:
The Director of Business Development will lead the strategic growth initiatives for the luxury resort, ensuring revenue optimization, market expansion, and the establishment of key partnerships. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market, strong networking capabilities, and the ability to identify and act on emerging opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the resort's vision and objectives.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
  2. Revenue Growth:

    • Drive initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to optimize room bookings, events, and other revenue streams.
  3. Partnership Development:

    • Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with luxury brands, travel agencies, corporate clients, and influencers.
    • Build strong relationships with regional and international stakeholders to promote the resort as a premier luxury destination.
  4. Market Expansion:

    • Expand the resort's presence in existing and new markets, targeting high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), VIP guests, and exclusive clientele.
    • Represent the resort at industry events, trade shows, and global luxury travel forums.
  5. Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  6. Brand Positioning:

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.
    • Enhance the resort's reputation as a top-tier luxury destination.
  7. Performance Metrics:

    • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development.
    • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on progress and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business development, preferably in luxury hospitality or related industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and securing high-value partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the luxury market and cultural nuances, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
