Job Description

Would you like to participate to the opening of our new Mama Shelter in Zürich?

YOUR MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT:

As our Cost Controller, you’ll be the backstage genius keeping everything profitable without ever compromising on Mama’s legendary vibe.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

  • Costing Like a Boss: You’ll work hand in hand with the F&B team to build and maintain technical sheets, calculate ideal selling prices, and ensure each dish is as profitable as it is delicious. 🍽️
  • Stock Supervision: Spot checks, requisitions, inventory – you’ve got eyes on everything that moves, ensuring stock is tracked and discrepancies are investigated. 🕵️‍♀️
  • Purchasing Master: You’ll ensure that our purchasing process is smooth and savvy – verifying orders, cross-checking invoices, and negotiating with suppliers when prices start getting a little too creative. 🧐
  • Master of Costs: You’ll track costs and ratios across all hotel departments — from F&B to Guest Supplies to the Shop. You’ll lead Menu Engineering Meetings with the F&B team, dive into Cost of Sales analysis, and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports that help boost the bottom line. 💰
  • POS Pro: You’ll help set up and maintain the system, create menu items, train the newbies, and ensure the system runs like a well-oiled machine. ⚙️
  • Month-End Mastermind: Inventory, accruals, transfers, etc. – when the month comes to a close, you’ll make sure all transactions are perfectly accounted for. 🧮
  • Cross-Department Connector: You’ll work with F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, and more like a true team player, supporting everyone while keeping an eye on the numbers. 🤝

  • You’re not discovering cost control, and preferably neither the hospitality and/or restauration sector. 🏨
  • You are detail-obsessed, nothing escapes your laser-sharp eyes, and you catch every little discrepancy before anyone else. 👀
  • You love numbers, they’re your best friends, and you know how to make them work for you. Excel is your happy place 💻.
  • You’re super organized and used to multitasking, you prioritize like a pro, even with an inventory list in one hand and a supplier call in the other. 📋
  • You enjoy being close to the operations and collaborating with chefs, bartenders, housekeeping, and your finance crew. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑.
  • You’re curious, independent, and love solving problems. 💡

YOUR LITTLE EXTRAS:

  • For you, the opening phase is where you launch profitability to the moon 🌚… or maybe just on good tracks. 🛤️
  • You master hospitality softwares such as Simphony, Opera and Sun Systems softwares.  🖥️
