Cafe Attendant - Seasonal

Starting Pay Rate: $15.80 per hour + tips

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare tea, coffee, and espresso-based drinks
• Be knowledgeable of the ingredients in pastries, sandwiches, salads, and other house-made items for sale.
• Take customer orders, prepare and heat food and beverages as required, and provide help concerning the retail section of the Café as requested.
• Operate cash register and know procedures for accepting all types of payment.
• Ensure the Café and retail area is always clean, organized, and fully stocked with food and retail items.

Physical Demands

• Constant standing and walking
• Frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 11 pounds / 5 kg
• Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 22 pounds / 10 kg
• Requires operation of an espresso machine, small kitchen appliances, and use of sharp knives
• Occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Alberta ProServe certification
• Previous customer service experience required
• Barista experience is an asset
• Customer-service oriented
• Advanced English communication skills

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
