Company Description

We’re looking for an Accountant to join our team at The Hoxton, Poblenou!

The Hoxton Poblenou in the city of Barcelona is our 11th Hoxton. The hotel boasts 240 bedrooms of different sizes, a large restaurant Four Corners with The Slice shop and La Bodega, a rooftop pool and our taqueria Tope, a bright and airy lobby, a multi-functional basement events space and The Apartment (our unique meetings & events concept).

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be you will be responsible to assist in managing the day-to-day operations of Accounting.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

  • Comply with all applicable laws related to fraud and collection procedure.
  • Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports and presentations.
  • Analyse information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Balance credit card ledgers.
  • Verify contracts for groups and perform credit reference checks for direct billed groups if necessary.
  • Achieve and exceed goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
  • Develop specific goals and plan to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Submit reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately.
  • Support supervisor with a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.

  • You have Excel skills; intermediate to advanced level.
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced environment and cope with pressure.
  • You like detail, a lot of detail.
