Do you have leadership experience in the hospitality industry and can you practically manage a team? Do you love sharing your passion with others but also have the determination to meet targets? Then this job might be something for you!

 

As Operations Manager, you will collaborate daily and report directly to the General Manager. Additionally, you will lead our Front Office Manager, F&B Manager, and Facility Coordinator, while also indirectly managing 60 colleagues! Mercure Amsterdam City has 368 rooms, 2 restaurants, a large terrace, a fun bar, and 12 meeting rooms. Plenty to experience!


Job Description

Your responsibilities:

  • Setting frameworks and guidelines for departments in collaboration with department heads;
  • Ensuring department heads realize the vision for their departments and help them when needed;
  • Optimizing work processes;
  • Being savvy in solving operational IT processes;
  • Monitoring budgets, margins, and creating action plans for budget overruns;
  • Identifying areas for improvement and offering support to department heads;

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

  • A hospitable colleague with an open-door policy;
  • With 5 years of operational experience as a department head of the Front Office and F&B;
  • A creative and empathetic coach who takes time for their employees and inspires them;
  • Someone with a good helicopter view who has a hands on mentality and dares to make decisions;
  • With excellent command of Dutch and English;
  • Someone whose workday is only successful when every guest and colleague is walking around with a big smile!

Additional Information

What do we offer you?

  • A salary above the Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement in scale 11, which ranges from €4,195.39 to €5,515.27 based on your experience. At Accor, we start at period 4 instead of 1;
  • 25 vacation days based on a full-time (38 hours) work week;
