Job Description

Night Manager Role, part of your duties involve:

* Being in-charge of the hotel over-night
* Completing the night audit duties with accuracy
* Providing high level of customer service
* Supervision of night lobby services including car parking and portering, ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.
* Taking responsibility for the safety and security of the building responding to emergency situations and any guest concerns within guidelines
* Effective supervision of night porter personal 
* Effective supervision of late guest arrivals and early departures ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes follow set procedures and are customer focused

Night Porter Role, part of your duties involve:

* Exercise care and responsibility when parking guest vehicles
* Provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all guests
* Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers (internal or external) are positive and productive
* Clean and maintain hotel public areas
* Prepare and deliver room service during the night
* Be fully conversant with departmental fire and evacuation procedures


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a luxury or premium hotel preferred
  • Opera ( or other PMS system ) knowledge preferred
  • Managers License/ First Aid/ Food Safety Certification advantageous
  • We’d like someone with an eye for detail, driven to achieving the highest service standards
  • We’ll need you to be self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • You’ll need to be friendly and engaging, with an ability to communicate effectively.
  • Immaculate grooming and personal presentation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid visa to work in New Zealand
