Company Description

The Porter House Hotel MGallery Sydney is a boutique 122 room hotel in the centre of the city. Ideally located on Castlereagh Street with good access to Gadigal Metro Station, Town Hall and Museum Station.

Opened in 2022 this is a high tech modern hotel with award winning design and part of the luxury segment of Accor.


Job Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the hotels maintenance program and upkeep luxury standards. The role will lead WHS and sustainability programs as well as the preventative maintenance program for rooms. In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager.


Qualifications

A relevant trade qualification.

Be a self starter and ability to work independently within the hotel.

Exceptional organisational skills and computer skills/

A hands on approach to problem solving.

Previous experience in a similar role.

Trade qualification in mechanical or building services preferred (or desire to attain)

Experience in computerised maintenance systems, Building Management Systems and fire preventative requirements

Previous hotel experience advantageous.

Organisational skills and an ability to effectively plan and prioritise.

Flexibility to be on call for out of hours engineering issues.

Highly responsible and reliable.


Additional Information

Lead and execute daily tasks and managing external contractors.

Set up and implement work request systems in all hotel areas.

Monthly reporting for utility consumption and sustainability practices using Gaia 2.0

Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment.

Collaborate with residential building manager and food and beverage outlets manager with annual projects.

Play a key role in Work Health and Safety and sustainability including inspecting all areas of the property for safety issues and taking corrective actions.

Carry out preventative maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.

Maintaining records of repair work and daily checks as required.

Working closely with other departments to ensure minimal impact of repairs and maintenance on operations.
