Company Description

Novotel & Ibis Auckland Ellerslie is a dual branded hotel home to Acacia Bar & Restaurant and multiple conference spaces. Our hotel has a combined 247 contemporary guest rooms with our staff creating memorable moments for our guests.


Job Description

 

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, keeping lines of communication open between food and beverage production and service areas of the hotel
  • Contribute to consistent menu / buffet food items and dishes
  • Create memorable dining experiences providing exceptional cuisine
  • Prepare and cook all food orders with a sense of urgency       
  • Check all food is stored and handled as per current food health and hygiene regulations

Qualifications

  • A passion for hospitality – always making decisions in the guest best interests
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset or a Chef looking to take the next step.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities and the ability to fit into a tight-knit team.
  • Strong team player with Hotel and/or Conference kitchen experience a bonus but not required
