Job Description

The Banquet Barback is required to set up and break down all bar set-ups to meet the guest request. This person is expected to ensure that all bar set-ups are efficiently and correctly set in a timely manner.  There is close coordination with the Bartender to keep all bar supplies including garnishes stocked so as not to interrupt the flow of service. This includes the removal of empties and trash as well as the bussing of glassware from tables. The barback will also assist with the preparation of drinks in the absence of the bartender.


A high school diploma and or experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred. This work is physical, requiring the ability to constantly handle 20 pounds for lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, 50 pounds frequently to manage the same and then100 pounds occasionally for the same. This is an active position requiring full mobility. 

Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Perform well in stressful, high pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity. Must be effective at listening, understanding and clarifying the concerns raised by guests and coworkers.
