Job Description

The Wellness Executive will provide a comprehensive wellness program but not limited to providing fitness and wellness services, retail and spa membership. The Wellness Executive is to be involved in achieving the overall spa and wellness sales and financial goals together with the spa team.

Primary Responsibilities

Spa, Wellness and Fitness Operations

  • Provide information about the fitness and wellness programs and be knowledgeable about the programs offered.
  • Plan and conduct value added wellness, fitness and pool activities for guests regularly such as power walks, yoga and aqua exercises.
  • Organise and implement wellness events regularly.
  • Provide Personal Training sessions.
  • Liaise with external service provider to run ad hoc wellness events.
  • Schedule appointments for the various fitness and wellness programs.
  • Prepare Wellness and Fitness assessment checks for first time guests.
  • Schedule reminder calls and emails at the end of the day for the next days’ appointments.
  • Complete Daily Maintenance Tasks
  • Maintain fitness and wellness participation records.
  • Maintain the supply of all fitness and wellness schedules, program packs, information sheets, and fact sheets.
  • Conduct Program Evaluations twice a semester for all Instructional Programs, Group Fitness classes and maintain data for analysis. 
  • Perform other support duties as assigned

Marketing

  • Provide constructive feedback on sales, effectiveness of promotions, guests’ response on all treatment and product launches, events and other promotions.
  • Assist the Wellness Manager to develop the annual wellness event calendar and attractive promotions
  • Assist in promoting the spa, fitness & wellness to maximize profitability.
  • Assist in generating sales and marketing reports at the end of the month.

Fitness & Wellness Operations

  • Ensure fitness and wellness equipment and accessories are maintained in good working order.
  • Ensure the group’s merchandising, fitness facilities, housekeeping and presentation standards, as well as overall fitness sanitation standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure stocks and amenities are kept safely to minimize or eliminate losses through negligence
  • Implement a clearly established opening and closing procedure.
  • Ensure that the facilities and amenities set up is in compliance with the LQA / FORBES guidelines

Departmental Meeting

  • Attend bi-weekly meetings with spa team to update wellness and fitness performance, collate feedback from team and share with Director of Spa. Monitor progress to ensure sales targets are achieved by end of the month.
  • Ensure all spa colleagues undergo product and wellness/fitness briefing and are capable of upselling all wellness programs listed on the menu and are competent to explain all treatment and product benefits.

Guest Services Experience

  • Anticipate, identify and ensure guest needs are being met in the best possible way.
  • Ensure that the guest experience is in compliance with the LQA & FORBES guidelines.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction with feedback surveys.
  • Follow up and resolve guests’ feedback

Inventory

  • Ensure that supplies of Wellness collaterals and printing materials are sufficient.
  • Manage inventory effectively, follow purchasing standards and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

Candidate profile

Knowledge and Experience

  • Diploma, preferably in Fitness, Wellness or Sports disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years in Spa/Wellness and fitness position and operational experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full working knowledge of spa and wellness treatments, programs and products.

Competencies

  • Ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to perform consultation and sales.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments and colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to schedule various services for individuals and large groups.
  • Ability to focus attention on details.
