Ibis Sydney Barangaroo is seeking a Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our dedicated team based onsite at the hotel.
You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Room Attendant, you will take ownership of guest rooms, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them.
What you will be doing:
- Retrieves items from storerooms, set up cleaning cart with supplies for daily use, and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Follow the daily assignment of cleaning vacant and occupied guest rooms.
- Ensure guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished to the correct standards for the room type.
- Perform tasks and/or projects assigned by housekeeping management.
- Take ownership of guests’ privacy and belongings, while ensuring exceptional service.
- Use and clean equipment with care, reporting any defective equipment as set down in procedures manual.
- Maintain a clear communication and offer assistance to guests.
Qualifications:
- Able to work flexible hours and days.
- Are physically fit and comfortable working independently.
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Clean and professional appearance.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably within the hotel industry is an asset.
- Have an eye for detail and an uncompromising approach to standards of cleanliness.
- A friendly, customer-focused attitude with the drive to provide total customer satisfaction.
- Initiative to ensure that interactions with colleagues and customers are positive and efficient.
