- Adhere to and implement procurement policies and procedures
- Monitor consumption patterns and manage slow-moving and non-moving items proactively
- Verify incoming goods, issue supplies on authorized requests, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Perform regular inventory checks for quantity, quality, and expiration dates
- Assist in carrying out periodic inventories of operating equipment
- Support cost control objectives and maintain audit trails
- Update management on supply issues and obtain specialist opinions when necessary
- Ensure proper documentation for all received and outgoing goods
- Maintain records for municipality and local authority requirements
- Manage the secure storage and timely distribution of received products
- Create credit notes and document returned hotel properties as needed
- Update accounts payable with supporting documentation daily
- Previous experience in a similar role in a premium hotel required
- Purchasing experience is a MUST
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and or relevant computer applications required
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
- Excellent administrative, interpersonal, written and verbal skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
