Batman's Hill on Collins is a 4-star Accor hotel in Melbourne, offering an ideal city stay for corporate, leisure and group travel guests. We are conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, right opposite Southern Cross Station. The hotel features 190 rooms and apartments, a fully equipped conference centre, restaurant and bar. Offering impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere, Batman’s Hill on Collins is the ideal venue for guests visiting the city for leisure or work.
We are looking for a part-time Guest Service Agent who has a passion for engaging with and assisting guests and colleagues. You will support the Front Office Duty Manager with daily tasks at Reception and create a welcoming space for our guests. This role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel right in the heart of Melbourne, and to join the Accor group.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a unique and personalized experience for each guest at our hotel by creating connections and using creative ways to exceed guest expectations.
- Assisting with reservations booking requests or enquiries via phone or email and ensuring guest details are accurately recorded in the PMS system
- Taking and directing all incoming calls
- Sharing information about the hotel and the local area with our guests
- Assisting guests with luggage
- Maintaining the presentation of the front desk and hotel lobby
- Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Occasional overnight shifts may be required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritise tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good keyboard skills
- Knowledge of the RMS property management system would be an advantage, however training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with Melbourne and the ability to make recommendations to guests is desirable but not essential
- Current RSA, or willing to obtain prior to commencement
- You must have current working rights in Australia. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
