The Novotel Rotorua Lakeside and Ibis Rotorua Lakeside are dual  branded complex hotels with 344 rooms located in central Rotorua.

Our  two hotels include,  Atlas Café & Restaurant and Clarkes Bar, ibis restaurant. 10 conference/Banquet rooms and InBalance Fitness Centre.

This newly created role works across both our Food & Beverage and Front Office departments reporting to the Operations Manager, this role would be ideal for a supervisor looking for development across operations at a duty manager level.

Job Description

As a Guest Experience Duty Manager, you will be a source of problem solving, elite customer service and the essence of calm across the Front Office, Restaurant and Bar departments.

You will be use to shift work, working 10 hour shifts (6am to 4.30pm or 4pm to 2.30am) on rotating rosters. These rosters will also mean weekend and evening work is required.

You will be a master at leading, training and motivating team members across these operational departments and you will have an infectious enthusiasm and commitment to delivering exceptional service. 

If you have the ability to problem solve, remain calm and adaptable in the face of pressure, then this may be the role for you.

Qualifications

Preferred experience:

• Previous experience of 1 year or more in a supervisory or team leader role in a Front Office background or Food & Beverage background

• Must hold a Current General Mangers certificate or ability to obtain one

• Knowledge of Opera, Opera Cloud or similar property operation system
