Food & Beverage Attendant (Part Time, Fixed Term) | Mercure Gold Coast Resort

A 292-room hotel, Mercure Gold Coast Resort spans over 3.5 hectares and is an oasis located amongst expansive gardens on the Gold Coast.  Overlooking the Resort’s pool and ninth Hole of the Palm Meadows Golf Course, ‘The Green Dining and Bar’ welcomes our guests, with extensive conference facilities and two stunning guest pools. 

We have the opportunity for two Part Time (20 hours per week) Food & Beverage Attendants to join our fast paced and dynamic Food & Beverage Department on fixed term contracts until the end of February 2025.

This role will work as part of a focused team, living the culture of guest passion and excellent service.


Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Delivering warm and friendly service while working across the The Green Dining restaurant and bar, Conference & Events, and Oasis Pool Bar,
  • Order taking while maximising sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling,
  • Have the availability and flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday including early mornings and late nights and Public Holidays.
  • Work as part of a focused team, living the culture of guest passion and excellent service.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Excellent communication skills and a high standard of grooming and personal presentation,
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience with a friendly, guest focused attitude,
  • The ability and flexibility to work across a seven day rotating roster, including late nights, weekends and public holidays,
  • Currently hold, or willing to obtain a QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate,
  • Experience within a hotel or resort restaurant, bar or banqueting department(s) will be highly regarded.
