Job Description

The Finance Business Analyst oversees and monitors all activities of the data analytics and data warehousing as it relates to Hotel Finance. They coordinate appropriate analytical approach and methodology in addressing key issues within the business. Leads the Hotel Finance data analytics and data warehousing teams in implementation of appropriate data systems, as recommended or mandated by Accor, Fairmont, Raffles leadership that lead to improved business performance and achievement of overall business goals. Also responsible for driving departmental culture and promoting data-driven decision-making, across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides management visibility into data-driven insights that inform the business’s strategic direction and KPI’s

Determines the adoption of suitable modular tool-sets that drive innovation and create an advantage for the business.

Works closely with the senior leadership in an effort to guarantee the delivery of high-quality execution of the diverse array of project deliverables. In this collaboration, also participates in the formulation of data-driven business decisions (how, where, when, which channels, and so forth) and demonstrates delivery against the business’s overall objectives

Develops analysis and interpretation of financial data with-in the region and communicating this in a comprehensible form of meaningful variations in the operations. The analysis of the P&L accounts, Key Business Indicators, Key Performance Indicators and balance sheet accounts, HMA compliance calculation, on a selected basis and the review and analysis of the monthly internal benchmarking and operational performance analysis reports.

Develops and establishes effective platforms for generating dynamic analysis related to financial planning as well as key business and performance indicators. Develops full understanding of platforms being used (i.e. Sun, OneStream, IBP, etc.) essentially being a subject matter expert in this area.


Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related fields/disciplines such as Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Applied Math, Business Administration, etc. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
  • 2+ Years of experience in similar job
  • Experience in hotel accounting or operation will be preferred
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must also be skilled in SQL server reporting services, Tableau, analysis services, or any other data visualization tools.
  • Ability to work across the matrix within the corporate structure to get tasks done and work cohesively as part of team.
  • Highly responsible and able to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Must have excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
