Novotel Melbourne on Collins is a contemporary style 4.5-star comfort hotel conveniently located in the very heart of Melbourne on fashionable Collins Street close to the Town Hall, Federation Square and retail and theatre districts. Featuring 380 guest rooms and suites, bar and restaurant, swimming pool and gym with 8 flexible conference & function venues feature state-of-the-art, conference technology. The ballroom accommodates events of up to 400 delegates in a theatre-style setup or 230 guests for banquets.
You will be responsible for managing Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Conferencing & Events including Budget/P&L, expense and revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing, and writing business plans, attracting, mentoring and retaining talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall Management: Oversee Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Conferencing & Events, including budget, forecasting, and business planning
- Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement integrated strategies to drive revenue across all hotel departments, including Rooms, Conference & Events, and Food & Beverage
- Revenue Maximisation: Collaborate with the revenue team and General Manager to optimise pricing, rate strategies, and revenue opportunities
- Marketing & Digital Presence: Manage digital marketing, social media, and online content accuracy
- Business Forecasting: Establish business mix strategies, review revenue forecasts, and analyse market trends
- Talent Management: Lead recruitment, mentorship, and retention of a large and diverse team. Focus on team development and career growth
- Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on competitor activity and industry changes to identify revenue opportunities
- Work with Accor Commercial Leaders to establish optimal business mix, review and validate revenue forecasts to improve accuracy while developing strategies for different demand periods, and reviewing pricing strategies
- Establish your profile across the region with both Accor and with key clients
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior hotel sales capacity
- Experience leading a large and diverse team to achieve results
- Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skills with all parties; team members, owners and clients
- Understanding of some or all hotel market segments and current trends
- Understanding of branding and positioning of Hotels within the market
- Experience in development and execution of sales strategies at an individual property level.
