What do we expect from you?

The AV Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment for events and meetings at Mondrian Singapore Duxton. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure all events are delivered seamlessly and exceed guest expectations.

How your day looks like?

 AV Setup and Operation

• Set up, test, and operate audiovisual equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, soundboards, lighting systems, and video conferencing tools.
• Ensure all AV equipment is installed and functioning properly before events.
• Operate AV systems during live events, addressing technical issues as they arise.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs or replacement of faulty equipment when necessary.

Client and Team Support

• Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Work closely with the Events and Banquet teams to align AV setups with event layouts and schedules.
• Train and guide hotel staff on the proper use of basic AV equipment

Documentation and Inventory

• Maintain accurate records of AV equipment usage, inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Prepare reports on AV system performance and suggest upgrades or improvements.
• Ensure all AV equipment is stored securely and accounted for after each event.

Event Execution

• Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor AV systems throughout the event, making real-time adjustments as needed.
• Assist with event debriefs to identify areas for improvement in AV service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in AV setup and operations, preferably in the hospitality or events industry.
• Strong knowledge of AV equipment, systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and streaming technologies.
• Proficiency in lighting, sound mixing
