Job Description

Assistant Guest Services Manager
Inspiring and engaging. As an Assistant Guest Services Manager, you will show your leadership and interpersonal strengths to maximize the Rooms Operations and ensure an exceptional guest journey.
 

    What you will be doing:

    Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
    • Assist the Guest Services Manager in leading the Guest Services department and ensure all service standards are followed
    • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notify proper departments as required
    • Attend regularly scheduled departmental meeting
    • Assist in managing the departmental budget - Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
    • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
    • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards, all safety policies
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Service focused personality is essential
    • Previous leadership experience required
    • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system an asset
    • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders
    • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly with strong networking skills
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
    • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
    • Must possess a professional presentation
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
    • Highly responsible & reliable
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, work cohesively as part of a team, focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
