Job Description

You'll showcase the natural beauty of the environment in which our guests visit! With your attention to detail, you will care and maintain ornamental plants, shrubs and trees on the hotel grounds and selected golf course sites.

These are full-time, seasonal positions that will run until October 31st, 2024.

Starting Pay Rate: $19.95 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $25.80 per hour.

Job Duties Include:

  • Consistently offer a professional and friendly greeting, and provide engaging service
  • Grooming and tending gardens, and ensuring a high level of aesthetic quality throughout the hotel property
  • Operates mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of ornamental plants and trees
  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the Gardening Department (Senior Gardener)

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the characteristics and cultural requirements of ornamental plants, shrubs and trees adapted to the region is an asset
  • Must have knowledge and experience or skills in basic gardening or other horticulture related areas
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean record is required

Additional Information

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
