Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, polished, friendly and engaging service
  • Intuitive service culture
  • Clean and inspect all public spaces, cupboards, elevators and stairwells
  • Consistently adhere to the hotel’s grooming policy
  • Maintain professional conduct over any communication channels and ensuring that and earpiece is used at all times
  • Sign in and out master keys daily which may include using the Key Tracer system
  • Utilize Royal Service Mobile according to standards and policies
  • Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with RYH policies and procedures
  • Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
  • Follow both hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Report necessary maintenance items frequently and communicate to leaders
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Assist the Room Attendant with maintaining the cleanliness of all areas on the gold floors including closets, corridors, lounge and public spaces
  • Responsible for all restocking all glassware, linens and supplies
  • Responsible for delivering and removing all guest request/preferences
  • Openly communicate to all Fairmont Gold colleagues to enhance overall guest experience
  • Ensuring that no items are placed in the corridor at any time
  • Other duties as assigned by leaders

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping experience is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Proficient in English language
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Has achieved a 90% or higher average on monthly audits
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Must be able to work weekends, shift work, holidays
