Mobius is one of the best restaurants near Sydney airport and Mascot. Breakfast at Mobius is made of fresh artisanal breads and pastries, charcuterie, fine cheeses and hot dishes – which then morphs into all-day antipasti and tapas selections. Lunch and dinner is a vibrant blend of modern Australian and Asian cuisines – at the live wok station and signature open grill. At Mobius Bar & Grill, we think global and cook local, using only regionally produced ingredients.
Our Head Chef Ben, is now in the hunt for a Full-time Chef de Partie to join the team to create some magic and mouth-watering meals. This is an amazing opportunity for a current CDP looking for a change or someone looking to step-up in their culinary career.
Your duties include:
- Supervision of kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and Sous Chef
- Maintain excellent presentation standards
- Lead team members by setting a positive example
- Assist Head Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies
- Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained
- Liaise with Restaurant team members regarding any changes to menu items
- Assist Head Chef with preparation of rosters
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hotel industry
- A strong understanding of food safety requirements
- Strong product knowledge of seasonal ingredients
- Culinary trade qualification desired
- Must have valid full Australian working rights - we do not offer sponsorship
- Available to work flexible rosters
