Pullman & Mercure King George Square is a large vibrant 438 room twin towered hotel which acts as a sanctuary for leisure and business travellers. Located opposite King George Square, City Hall and ideally situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD the hotel has some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane incorporating 2 ballrooms. The hotel also features some amazing and extremely popular venues of Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Cafe as well as Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar.


Job Description

Reporting to the Conference & Events Operations Manager, the key responsibilities of the Banquets Supervisor include:

  • Being "Guest obsessed" while providing support and presence on the front of house areas to ensure the smooth operation of the Department & quality service is provided
  • Providing leadership and guidance to your F&B colleagues, ensuring our F&B service standards are observed providing a consistently high level of service to all guests
  • Set up and pack down of events/conference rooms and coordination on the day
  • Familiarizing yourself with VIP and regular clients to ensure their requests and needs are met
  • Maintain hygienic food service techniques during service and promote a safe workplace by recognizing hazards and promoting general OHS practices
  • A ‘hands on’ approach is required as is to work as part of a team to provide efficient service

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in a Food & Beverage role within the Conference & Events area desired
  • Passionate about Food & Beverage and event service
  • Experience in training and motivating employees
  • Friendly, outgoing personality and a high standard of personal presentation and self-awareness

Qualifications

Specific Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, nights and public holidays
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Being a true hospitality professional dedicated to providing customer service excellence
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
