Job Description

The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for providing consistent leadership in the financial area of the hotel by supplying the accounting staff with guidance and training.  He/she is also responsible for focusing on the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels on internal control, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/investors assets.  Responsible for entering payroll data into the computer, auditing payroll data and maintaining files and records to produce accurate payroll period reports in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.


Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of progressive directoring experience in hotel accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting and/or Finance.
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and financial accounting systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have hospitality related financial management and accounting experience.
  • Experience with one or more of these systems: ADP, Oracle PBCS, Birchstreet, OPERA PMS is preferable but not a requirement.
