Job Description

To serve beverages and food for guests in the Lobby Bar following SMI recipes and guidelines for preparation, presentation and accountability in a cost efficient manner.  Ensure compliance with all liquor laws in the preparation, serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the restaurant.

  • Anticipate guest expectations
  • Take food and beverage orders and deliver the correct order in a timely manner
  • Proper and friendly service to guests
  • Turn in correct Micros paperwork with minimal errors
  • Up-sell food and beverage items as well as sundry items related to the hotel
  • Consistently use the established points of service
  • To be accountable for guest service and follow through
  • Assist and support the other team members
  • Maintain cleanliness of Lobby Bar area
  • Control cost and waste in the work area
  • Perform other duties and/or fill in at other positions

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Able to work varied and flexible hours including mid-day shift, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have previous Food & Beverage experience
  • Communication skills are critical.  Must be able to communicate clearly and listen attentively to management, guests and fellow employees from the Lobby attendant to the Chef.
  • Able to stand and be mobile for up to 4 hours.  Able to lift, bend and stoop to perform various tasks. 
  • Able to lift frequently and carry bus trays and other objects weighing up to 25 pounds. 

Hourly rate of $18.00
